Sanitary Cove Base System in PVC — CoRound®

What is the CoRound sanitary cove base system?

The rounded profile removes the square corner where dirt builds up, and the smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean. No sealant line required along the wall; pre-formed corners, no silicone-filled field cuts; no resin or cement to cure. The CoRound sanitary cove base system comes in two lines of PVC profiles, CoRound Seal and CoRound Basic, and works with the other CoRound PVC profiles.

What Is a Sanitary Cove Base System For?

In the CoRound sanitary cove base system, the CoR Skirt sanitary base runs along the floor-to-wall juncture, and the CoR 4 cove base runs along the wall-to-wall and wall-to-ceiling junctions. In a washdown, water runs from the ceiling down the walls to the floor. With CoRound profiles at the ceiling, in the wall corners and at the floor, it meets a curve, not a square corner, at each junction. Straight lengths meet at a joint piece, columns take pre-formed outside corners, and each run stops at an end cap at the door: no miter cuts to fill with silicone.

The CoR Skirt sanitary base and the CoR 4 cove base are rigid PVC with flexible co-extruded lips.

  • The PVC is lead-free; the rigid body is calcium-zinc stabilized.
  • Resistant to common cleaning chemicals; can be washed with water up to +140 °F.
  • PVC does not rust.
  • Installs on insulated panels, FRP-covered walls, tile, masonry and drywall.

CoRound Systems

CoRound Seal and CoRound Basic are the two sanitary PVC systems. CoRound Basic for cost-sensitive projects; CoRound Seal adds corner pieces and end caps with flexible lips. Both work with the other CoRound PVC profiles and accessories, such as channels, angles and curbs.

  • CoRound Seal is a sanitary PVC cove base system.
  • CoRound Basic comes in white and in Stainless Steel Gray 9023 PVC.
  • CoRound Corner Protector is a line of sanitary PVC corner guards: it protects wall corners against everyday bumps from carts and mop buckets.
  • CoRound Channel is a PVC base track for insulated panels.
  • CoRound Channel Eco is the economy version of the channel.
  • CoRound Angle Profiles is a line of sanitary PVC angle profiles.
  • CoRound Curb Series is a heavy-duty PVC curb. Protects the wall from forklift impacts. It protects the wall, not people: it is not a safety barrier.
